Gergana Tsakova

Gergana Tsakova graduated from the First Secondary School “Pencho P. Slaveykov”, specialising in Spanish. From 2013 to 2017, she studied Acting for Puppet Theatre at the National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts “Krastyo Sarafov” (NATFA), in Professor Boncho Lungov’s class.

While still a student, she took part in various theatre and music projects. In 2014, she participated in Notre-Dame de Paris and performed in a concert conducted by Danko Yordanov at the National Opera of Ukraine in Kyiv. In 2015, she took part in Le Songe, a concert featuring music by Henry Purcell, conducted by Julien Reszac in Riom-ès-Montagnes, France. In 2017, she participated in Ralitsa Bezhan’s musical production The Unforgettable Ones.

After graduating, she pursued an active professional career in drama and musical theatre.

Since January 2025, Gergana Tsakova has been a member of the acting company of the Musical Dramatic Theatre “Konstantin Kisimov” in Veliko Tarnovo.

In 2025, she also performed in the musical Hair by Gerome Ragni, James Rado and Galt MacDermot, directed by Veselka Kuncheva, at the Plovdiv State Opera.

Gergana Tsakova also has professional experience in film, television and voice acting. In 2018, she reached the quarter-finals of the sixth season of The Voice of Bulgaria. That same year, she appeared in an episodic role in the television series Dear Heirs. In 2022, she appeared in the film The Meadow, directed by Nadezhda Hristova.

As a voice actress, she has voiced characters in numerous Nickelodeon productions, including Ciara / the Princess in Knight Squad, Rucksy in The Bureau of Magical Things, Nila in Shimmer and Shine, Buen Brillo in Ollie’s Pack, Lily in The Fresh Beat Band and Smurfette in The Smurfs.
