Our production of Yan Bibiyan is an adaptation of Elin Pelin’s celebrated children’s novel of the same name.
Its extraordinary popularity stems from the fantastic elements woven into the story and its whimsical fairy-tale characters, so beloved by children.
Of course, the greatest charm lies in the character of the incredibly mischievous Yan Bibiyan. His playful antics, combined with his captivating emotional nature, enchant audiences.
His unusual friendship with the little devil Fyut and their adventures in the underground kingdom set the stage for an extraordinary story, while Yan’s struggle against the sorcerer Mirilaylay and his servants keeps audiences on the edge of their seats.
His encounter with the sorcerer’s beautiful captive awakens feelings in the young boy that he has never experienced before.
The magical scenery, striking costumes, and specially composed music further enhance the visual and emotional experience of the production.
