Plamen Kumpikov

Plamen Kumpikov graduated from the Vocational High School of Road Transport and Transport Technologies in Sofia. He continued his education at the National Academy of Music “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” in Sofia, where he graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor’s degree in Opera Singing, specialising in bass, under Professor Asen Selimski. In 2004, he obtained a Master’s degree in Opera Singing under the same professor.

In 2004, he participated in a masterclass led by Raina Kabaivanska. In the same year, he undertook specialist training at the Boris Christoff Bulgarian Academy of Art and Culture in Rome on a scholarship awarded by Franka de Renzis Christov. His teachers there were Mirella Freni and Antonio Boye.

In 2005, he participated in the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale “A. Belli” in Spoleto, Italy, as well as in masterclasses led by the internationally renowned baritone Renato Bruson and Raina Kabaivanska.

Since 2024, he has been a member of the ensemble of the Musical Dramatic Theatre “Konstantin Kisimov” in Veliko Tarnovo.
